Website Launch Checklist for 2021

As the internet has expanded and technology increased, the ability to create a website to boost your sales or grow your business has never been easier. However, for your site to reach its full potential, there are a number of things you should do before and after you launch.

Before launching your website, you’ll want to make sure search engines can crawl it to get the information they need. If they aren’t able to do so, your pages won’t appear in the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) and users won’t be able to find your site. You’ll want to make sure you have the core webpages (Homepage, About Page, etc.) on your site, as well as the metadata for each.

Once you’ve got your website up and running, there are still a few things you should do to keep it viable and ensure the best user experience possible. It’s a good idea to make sure your analytics system is working properly, your site is secure, and you have backups in place in case your site crashes.

With so many things to remember, it’s hard to keep track of it all. Use the pre- and post-launch checklists below to make sure nothing gets skipped over by accident. If you’re not sure what each step entails, check out WebsiteSetup’s full guide to launching a website in 2021.
