I was in Knoxville this week for a presentation to the local Association of Legal Administrators. I couldn’t help to think I’d see Bill Dance, TV fishing personality, walking around the University of Tennessee campus (just a few blocks away) with his signature hat. No such luck.

This week brought me to Flower Mound and Plano, TX for two client development seminars. The first was held at Majesty’s, which bills itself as an inspirational dinner club. The food was excellent, and as soon as I finished my presentation, live country and music started playing in the main dining room. Last week I presented a client development seminar for the Amarillo Young Lawyers Association’s 11th annual CLE event in Las Vegas. We were treated very well by the Bellagio staff — if you’ve never stayed, you’re in for an experience. From the Dale Chihuly glass ceiling in the lobby to the famous fountains out front, everything is over the top.
